  TEST COMMENTS The test is designed to identify bacterial isolate to a taxonomy level of bacterial species. This test may not be able to identify sub-species or serotypes. Identification of bacterial species is done by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and phylogenetic analysis. Isolate and DNA from an isolate are accepted from domestic (USA) senders, and can be shipped on ice for overnight delivery; only isolate DNA is accepted from international senders, and samples should be shipped on dry ice if overnight delivery is not feasible. Only bacterial isolate or DNA from an isolate is accepted. This is not a metagenomic sequencing service. Samples other than isolate or isolate DNA are not currently accepted.
