This PCR panel detects:


  • Bacterial pathogens:
  • Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli, F6, F18, F41, K88, K99, st1a, st1b, elt, and stx2e
  • Clostridium perfringens Alpha & Beta toxins
  • Clostridioides difficile (Previously known as "Clostridium difficile") toxins A & B

  • Viral pathogens:
  • Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV)
  • Porcine Deltacoronavirus (PDCov)
  • Transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV)
  • Porcine rotavirus A, B and C

  • Swabs must be submitted in one of the following:

    • • 0.25 ml sterile saline

    • Viral transport media

    • Copan-Eswabâ„¢ system

All others reported as Positive, Negative, or Suspect with Ct values.
